Big Brother 28: Lyric and Rome’s Romance Can’t Continue After Her Eviction

Big Brother 28 may have ended Lyric Medeiros’ time inside the house, but it certainly did not end her connection with Rome Seymour.

After becoming one of the season’s most talked-about showmances, Lyric and Rome are finally getting the chance to explore their relationship away from the cameras, competitions and constant pressure of the Big Brother house.

Lyric was evicted during Week 3 after spending much of the season navigating both the game and her rapidly developing relationship with Rome. The two connected almost immediately after meeting and quickly became one of the most recognizable couples of the season.

Lyric Says Meeting Rome Changed Her Big Brother Experience

Khoảnh khắc ngọt ngào khi Rome và Lyric của chương trình Big Brother hội ngộ bên ngoài ngôi nhà chung, cô ấy tuyên bố anh là "tình yêu của đời tôi".

For Lyric, the relationship was not simply a strategy to survive inside the house. She has described their connection as something that developed naturally from the moment they met.

Speaking after her eviction, Lyric expressed excitement about finally being able to communicate with Rome outside the Big Brother environment. She said that knowing she would eventually be able to talk to him again helped her get through the difficult final days of her time in the game.

Their romance developed remarkably quickly. Rome had previously admitted that he had strong feelings for Lyric and hoped to pursue a relationship with her after the show. He also said he was already looking forward to planning a meaningful date once they were both back in the outside world.

Their First Real Date Could Be Very Different From Life Inside BB

Inside the Big Brother house, Lyric and Rome had little privacy and were surrounded by cameras and other contestants. Their relationship therefore unfolded under unusual circumstances.

Now that they are both outside the game, fans are eager to see what their first genuine date will look like.

Rome previously suggested that he wanted to make the occasion special rather than simply treating it as another casual dinner. Lyric’s post-eviction comments have only increased curiosity about what comes next for the pair.

The couple also had to deal with the complicated reality of playing a strategic game while being romantically involved. Lyric ultimately had to prioritize her position in the house, while Rome understood that her survival in the game had to come first.

Rome Has Continued to Support Lyric

So, Rome and Lyric are obvious, but is there another showmance on the rise in the Big Brother 28 house?

Rome’s eviction came before Lyric’s, but he made it clear that he did not hold her game decisions against her.

After leaving the house, he defended Lyric’s decision to work with other players and even said he encouraged her to use her social skills to strengthen her position. He viewed her interactions with other houseguests as part of the game rather than a betrayal of their relationship.

That support appears to have continued after Lyric’s own eviction.

With both contestants now outside the Big Brother house, the biggest question is no longer whether they can survive the game together. Instead, fans will be watching to see whether the relationship that began under the intense conditions of reality television can develop into something real in everyday life.

For now, Lyric seems excited about the next chapter—and fans won’t have to wonder much longer about whether that first real date with Rome will actually happen.
