Is TLC officially done with Seeking Sister Wife after six seasons and a handful of scandals and controversies? Fans are starting to feel that way, given that this is usually the time of year in which a new season and cast would be announced. So, what is next for the hit series? Seeking Sister Wife Ran Long After The Snowdens

TLC does not seem to mind scandal. If anything, the network thrives on it, and they had a lot when it came to Seeking Sister Wife. The Snowden family started in Season 1 with Dimitri and Ashley, who wanted to expand their marriage. Dimitri dated their first season, but by Season 2, had found a wife in Vanessa Cobbs. Unfortunately, by the time the show aired its finale update, she had left the family. In Season 3, the Snowdens were courting two women, chose Christeline Petersen, but halfway through the season, abuse allegations came out.

She accused the couple of domestic violence in real-time, but on the show, they were planning their wedding. Because of the scandal, the Snowdens did not return, but the series kept going for three more seasons. Now, Dannielle and Garrick Merrifield are in the center of it all with their sister wife, Lorrana, who is actively seeking legal help to escape the couple. That being said, fans are wondering if the show has been axed. One asked this:

• New seasons have typically come out in the summer if I remember correctly. Do we think TLC is done with this show? 

This is pretty accurate, at least with Season 6 of Seeking Sister Wife. It was announced in August 2025 and premiered the following month. However, the dates have varied, as the show tends to get a spring premiere. Moreover, it has not aired every year. There was a two-year gap between Seasons 4 and 5, as well as 2 and 3. So, if the show does go on, it could be another year before it comes back.

Do Fans Want It Back?

Despite the drama and scandals, do fans want Seeking Sister Wife back? They did grow to appreciate and respect the Davis family as they seemed to have a good dynamic. So, if the show were to be canned, would it be missed? Moreover, do they think it is really gone for good?

• I hope not but after what happened with the merrifeilds that probably was the final nail in the coffin of that show.
• I don’t know that TLC ever addressed the Snowdens and that situation was extremely similar.
• I read that it’s coming back in the Fall.
• Last year it came out in September right? I hope there is a new season. The Merrifields basically carried the show imo so if they don’t feature them idk if I will watch.

It looks like the viewers really want it to come back in spite of what went down. Time will tell if they will get their wish.
